Common mistakes made by maintenance personnel of compressed air booster pumps
During long-term use, compressed air booster pumps are affected by various factors and may experience different malfunctions. It is necessary to regularly repair or maintain the relevant components to ensure the normal operation of the compressed air booster pump. At present, compressed air booster pumps are not as popular as air compressors, and their structures are also different from air compressors, which has led to uneven technical skills among maintenance and repair personnel in the market, resulting in many problems.
1: Unable to correctly diagnose and analyze faults, blindly starting repairs.
The maintenance workers in the factory have not been exposed to compressed air booster pumps, so they are not very familiar with their principles and structures, and cannot determine what problem caused the malfunction. With the idea that I am capable and can almost fix it, I carried out a major dismantling and disassembly of the compressed air booster pump, which not only failed to eliminate the original problem, but also caused other problems.
2: Replacement repair
When the compressed air booster pump malfunctions, some maintenance personnel always use the replacement test method to troubleshoot. No matter what kind of fault is considered to be a possible fault, they replace and test each part one by one. However, if the fault is not resolved, it will lead to inflexibility in other aspects (some components of the compressed air booster pump are either in service or not), and also increase maintenance costs.
3: Pre replacement inspection of accessories
The main components of compressed air booster pumps are mostly sealing rings, and there are many types of non-standard sealing rings. Before replacement, it is necessary to carefully inspect the material, size, and defects of the sealing rings. Don't wait until it's installed before realizing that the pressure won't go up or it won't work.
4: Parts cleaning
When repairing compressed air booster pumps, oil stains, dust, and impurities on the surface of spare parts should be checked. The accessories required for the booster pump assembly are various sealing rings, and impurities in the sealing rings can cause friction between the sealing rings and the cylinder. Long term operation can wear down the sealing rings or cylinder, leading to a sharp reduction in the service life of the booster pump.
