    Nitrogen, as an inert gas, has become an essential gas in industry and research experiments. There are generally two types of nitrogen sources: 1. nitrogen generator, and 2. nitrogen cylinder. However, depending on various usage scenarios and on-site conditions, most require nitrogen pressure boosting to achieve the desired usage.


    The nitrogen produced by the nitrogen generator generally has a pressure of 4-6 bar, which is relatively lower than the pressure of 13MPA inside the nitrogen cylinder. In this case, there are two options for boosting.


    1. The nitrogen pressure used on site is not too high, with a usage pressure below 80 bar. In this case, a single-stage nitrogen booster pump is sufficient (single-stage refers to a booster pump that can reach the operating pressure with one boost, such as ZTA02 nitrogen booster pump).


    2. The on-site use pressure is very high, and there are also two options in this situation. One is to directly use a two-stage booster pump (two-stage refers to a booster pump with two booster cylinders, and low-pressure nitrogen first enters the low-pressure booster cylinder for boosting once, and then is transported to the other end of the booster cylinder for boosting twice through a high-pressure pipeline, such as the ZTT25 nitrogen booster pump). Its disadvantage is that the flow rate is small. There are two or more single-stage nitrogen booster pumps connected in series (the first low-pressure nitrogen booster pump is pressurized and stored in a gas storage tank for the next medium or high-pressure nitrogen booster pump to use as the initial pressure). In this case, the flow rate will be much larger, depending on the specific working conditions and usage environment on site.


    The initial pressure inside the nitrogen cylinder is generally 13MPA. In this case, a single-stage double acting nitrogen booster pump such as ZTD40 is usually directly selected (single-stage double acting refers to the nitrogen booster pump having two booster cylinders with the same boost ratio, and the booster pump can form a boost in both directions during operation). Under the condition that the flow rate is not too high, a single-stage single acting nitrogen booster pump can also be used, which is more cost-effective.
